1/9/2015 8:16:00 AMwidebear - Those natives really do know how to fight. All of the fish have been feisty this year, especially the natives when caught on Kokanee rods.

1/9/2015 9:37:00 AMhookset, I am not sure which # of rapala I have but it is about 4" long and jointed. The straight stick one was not working but I'm guessing if I would speed up it would. I am always going 1.5 to 1.8 mph so the jointed has a bit more action at that speed.

1/9/2015 4:25:00 PMThanks for the info widebear, I picked up a jointed perch J-7 and then just logged back in to check if you had responded, the J-7 is about 3" long so I'll pick up a J-9 for another rod. I couldn't find the orange so got the perch instead, it has a nice orange stripe on the bottom & I have read perch colors do OK also. Appreciate the info on trolling speed.
