Fished out of Spring Canyon Saturday for kokanee and trout with a couple buddies. The average kokanee size is smaller this year but there seems to be a good number by the amount seen surfacing when the waters flat which can be frustrating because the bite just shuts off. Good time for the down riggers which were effective down to 25 feet. Caught 6 kokes, all on the suface 120-190 ft back using pink and purple Kekeda flies (https://www.etsy.com/listing/174537991/5-kekeda-tackle-trolling-flies). Also ran a red one that the rainbows really liked. In fact they were the ones that worked on the bigger trout. Funny how those little kokanee can bite the trebles and main hook on those flies but they do. Attached is an image of the flies, thanks Dave.
Also, found someones fillet knife at the launch, feel free to message me if it has sentimental value and you want it back.
