We launched at Spring Canyon at 9:30. It was cold, windy, and the water was pretty rough for small boats. After putting out the usual mix of Rapalas, Kekedas, and Squidders, we trolled down to Crescent Bay, then crossed and worked up the northeast side, relatively close to shore, spending most of the day fishing across from Spring Canyon. Downriggers and leaded line rigs were down 20 feet, plus Rapalas were out on the planer boards. A gold Shad Rap nailed a couple, but the majority of the fish we caught were on Perch Kekeda files on downriggers and leaded line. There were multiple short hits and lost fish, but three of us finished the day with 14 fish. Several were 19-20" beauties, but it took 6 lines and 8 hours to do it. Fortunately the wind died down and the conditions improved through the day.
