3/9/2015 12:08:00 PMThe trout limit, at least for clipped ones, should be increased in the near future. There's a good number of individuals who travel great distances to catch Roosevelt trout.

3/11/2015 1:33:00 PMSeveral posts have referred to clipped rainbows and koks in Roosevelt as having to do with limits. Must be missing something in the regs about clipped or unclipped fish (hatchery vs wild) - in Roosevelt. Someone please help me because I have not found anything about that for that fishery, only for steelhead in other waters. It may be there, but not having the Philadelphia law degree that is required to understand and interpret the reg book, I have not seen it. Everyone knows what a joke the steelhead clipping thing is because they only clip 50% or less in federal hatcheries and even less in tribal hatcheries.

3/11/2015 8:15:00 PMLivingston12 - Since 2005 100% of the hatchery rainbow trout released are adipose fin clipped, starting this year 100% of the hatchery kokanee released will also be adipose fin clipped as well as sterile triploids. The current bag limit for rainbow trout doesn't segregate clipped from unclipped, however for kokanee it does.

Oh well, when you get 85 the brain goes south along with the eyesight. Still fun fishing though, enough so that I just bought another new rod and reel yesterday. Thank all of you for the posts. They are so helpful for an old geezer like me who is still trying to learn how to do this. What a wonderful site this is. Was at Banks last Saturday along with many other boats after walleye at Barker flat. Got one 21 3/4", two nice big burbot and one nice perch.
