Launched at Porcupine and went upriver. Caught about 40 walleye in about 6 hours of fishing. Jigs and drop shot minnows worked well. I caught four nice ones over 20 inches; however the bulk of the fish were 12 to 14 inches. I released the big ones and worked very hard to scratch a few eating sized ones. In my opinion 15-19 inches. There seems to be very few in that range. At the cleaning station I saw folks cleaning lots of 10 to 12 inch fish. Hmmm!

Allfish, I agree on the size of fish being harvested. By the time you fillet the fish, there's nothing left on a 12 or 14" fish.
What type of drop shop minnow were you using and what color jigs?

A 3 in. green power bait minnow worked well. The jig was multi-colored yellow, black and orange with a motor oil curly tail and a half a crawler.
