Fish Dawg needed a net man. I took him up on his offer. He put me to work netting his fish and running his boat for him. His rods were being hit and mine went untouched. The only reason I landed any fish was because of his rods doubling up. He schooled me beyond belief. His rods accounted for 11 hits and 9 fish in the boat. I had 2 hits and one fish close to the boat with my rods.
We put in at Brewster shortly after 04:00. Air temp. never dropped below 80 in the night. I had a bit of a rough start. I believe I got a line in the water and fishing about 15 minutes after Dawg had 2 rods working. I was having a terrible time getting my line to stay in the release. I broke the first release. (Sorry Dawg). And, 3 or 4 attempts later I finally got to fishing!
Dawg is very meticulous and fanatical about wearing gloves. I declined his offer of gloves and said,"Lets run a little experiment. Gloves VS no gloves". Dawg had custom dyed and scented his own shrimp. I was running store bought Coon shrimp from D&G Bait and dipping it in Sockeye/Kokanee Dipping Sauce. I have done well with this combo in the past. Not on this trip. Dawg flat out spanked me. He was running Kokanee gear. I was running a large sling blade with a mini squid/smile blade setup or a double 0 50/50 dodger. Dawg kept us busy with his rods. Fish are in good shape. Beautiful red mouth watering fillets.
I learned a lot. I had a lot of fun. I'm still trying to finish the over sized serving of humble pie I dished up!
It was very relaxing fun time with Dawg doing all the driving. Sorry no pics.
Thanks Dawg, I had a great time.

My pleasure Andy!

You were a bad ass net man and it was a pleasure swapping fish stories and tactics with you during the day. You're welcome aboard the Get Reel any time. It was really all about just having a good time catching, however we got it done. I hope a few of my tricks help you catch more fish the next time you go.

Thanks again for the fresh peaches! What a pleasant surprise to take home such delectable sun kissed treats!!
