This report is a brag report about the last report I made on Lake Entiat. If you follow the procedure of changing out your scent bombs every 30 minutes, then you will increase your odds of catching more fish. This is the second time I entered the CCA Derby in the last 3 years in my boat. The funny thing is that the 1st time we caught the second largest fish and netted $1,750 and the guy the landed it on my boat is now a happy full time fishing guide. On Saturday the 18th I hooked the largest hatchery fish and landed it 24 pounds gutted. The fish pictured netted a nice fat $2000 check. The second place fish was 18 pounds by friends of mine that follow a few simple rules to catching big fish.
1) Big fish like to be left alone. If 15 pound fish are being caught in a hole, then move to the tail out a couple hundred yards away.
2) Big Fish need to be on the edge of fast water or deep most of the time. I am looking for resting big fish that are alone next to the bottom.
3) Big fish need smelling salts to wake them up. They are dead asleep. I put a powerful fresh scent on from my Scent Bomb every 20 to 30 minutes. I know the big fish water and will pound it with fresh scent over and over until that one big take down.
4) History says, "All my big fish have come withing 2 minutes of re-baiting my scent bombs
Tournament Results

2) July 2013 - CCA $1,750 2nd Place winner
3) Sept 2012 - White Bluffs - Big Fish winner for the year for CCA
4) July 2012 - Wanapum Dam - 3rd Biggest Fish CCA derby for the year
5) Sept 2012 - White Bluffs - 2nd Biggest Fish CCA derby for the year
The same program applied for all the catches listed. Re-bait as often as you can and know where the big fish are being caught. If you have never caught a big fish and want to learn my secrets, then jump on board my guide boat for a day or two and you will be educated in person to all my tricks on how to catch more fish and pursue a dandy catch at the same time.
If you read the last article, then you know that I use a ton of Super Dipping Sauce in my tuna for the bomb and lure mix and I dip the lure with an extra load as well. This fish caught over the weekend wasn't on a big lure at all. I landed this fish on a mini cut plug from Brad's. See the last article to look at the exact lure that caught the winning fish.
That's all for now! Come and join me for an exciting day out on the water.
