Well Sunday was a pretty decent day of fishing for the Tracht Outfit. The Tin Guppy was crewed by 3 generations of us and we all got fish. First time for the Grandson in the boat, he is usually tied up with some team sport or another, I'm thinking he may have just developed a new sport. We got our lines in water just below Keller a little after 9 AM and had the first fish around 9:30 AM and had all our Kokanee and some decent trout by 1:30 PM. Would have kept fishing for trout but we couldn't keep those pesky 18-20 inch Kokanee off the lines. Never had that problem before, but if it happens again I will face up to it the best I can. The wind was pretty gusty for the first couple of hours so it's kind of hard to say just what our speed was when we got a hit but I would guess that most hits were in the 1.8 to 2.3 mph range. The leaded lines were out 3 colors give or take and the mono on the spinning rod was way back there. Most of the Kokes hit the Pink Kekeda on a 12" leader behind a Pink/Silver flasher but several of them also hit the Orange Kekeda on a 3 ft leader behind a Gold/Silver dodger which is my goto trout setup on the spinning rod. Guess it was just one of those days when they weren't too fussy. Got a couple of trout on an Orange Squidder rig also. Pretty hard to beat a day on Roosevelt catching big fat Kokanee with you son and grandson.

Thanks especially for pix of the rig/lure - have recently returned to Spokane from the try-cities and Roosevelt in the past for me
has meant walleye and a few trout that hit the same rig (basically a stinger hook, main hook with a juicy worm, beads and some
type of blade, macks/indiana#4-5, colorado#4-5, and a 20-30" leader behind a bottom bouncer). This type of fishing and the lure
you're using is like chasing steelhead on the Snake and/or sockeye in the Brewster pool for the annual mayhem derby in July.
thanks again for showing the lure - look forward to giving your area/technique/lures a try, if/when conditions improve.
