5/7/2016 9:28:00 AMI fished the same are on this date with guide Kyle Jones. We couldn't keep our rods in the holder the action was so fast. Kyle had us fishing 12 foot water just before sunrise. We limited so fast we could have returned to the dock within an hour. I know they usually move deeper after the sun rises. Problem is the fish are pretty unpredictable. Helps to go with a knowledgeable guide.
Beautiful colored fish too. The Springers are the best.
I'm getting over a knee replacement now. If I go back by myself next year, I'll try to get out of the combat area. Go down the bars a little to find a spot where I can move deeper as the sun comes up. That is what Kyle suggested and it makes a lot of sense.
