We had another great day today fishing below the John Day Dam for great fighting and even greater eating spring Chinook. We landed a total of 5 fish today, but only ended with 2 keepers.
Our best fishing today was from daylight through about 10 am and then again from 1pm -3pm. We did best today on K-14 kwickfish in the fickle pickle color, and a Chartreuse head with a chrome body.
Again tuna wrapped plugs were our stand out best producer. All our bites came fishing tuna packed in oil straight from the can.
We are fortunate that this fishery was extended through Sunday the 8th and I have an open boat Sunday.
