WOW what a great day fishing with friends Brick and Carey. Got to the launch around 8:00 and rods in by 8:30 or so. The lake had come up and the ramp to the dock was under water 1 foot or so. Wading in cold water was the order of the day. It didn't dampen our spirits in the least. Started with some of the same tackle I used at Chelan and it wasn't long before the first rod went off. It was a really nice 18" rainbow. The next one was a kokanee; man have these fish gotten fat! We continued to catch fish here and there steadily with a mix of kokanee and bowes.
We trolled into a bay and on the way out Carey said hey I'm hung up on the bottom.......how can that be on a Sidewinder planer? Picked up the tackle and motored back to where the tackle was "hung up" yeh right now it's hung up over there.....
Seems it had a big rainbow that headed down and wanted to stay there. It was a twenty incher.
We finished with our 6 kokanee and eleven rainbows. Biggest kokanee of the day was 21" plus. By the way three colors lead core is still working great and I ran the downriggers at 18 to twenty feet with a troll speed of 1.7 mph. Sorry about the shortage of pics, my camera battery died.
Tight lines - Alan
