We (3) left the Keller launch about 7:30am to search out those elusive Kokanee. We started along the sand banks close to the cliffs, spending an hour trolling without marking a fish. We pulled up our gear and headed out to the basin and got our lines back in the water. We marked fish occasionally, so we set our lines from 65' all the way up to 15'. One fish was caught at 25' right at 9:30. We counted 12 boats inside the bay and 4 others out in the big water. No other fish were caught the rest of the day by our group. The winds increased to over 15mph around 2pm so we headed in.
The fish biologist at the dock, checked us in and mentioned that fishing was "off" today. Only 6 folks had checked in fish, with some guided parties with less than 1/2 limits. It was a long hard day today.
