Going to keep this report short or it will just turn into whining and sniveling. The wife went with me down to Keller and I was really hoping to have her land a couple of nice Kokanee but I just seemed to have picked the wrong day once again and was late getting there. Lines in the water around 9:30 and hooked and released a couple of smaller Rainbows in the first 30 minutes and then nothing until later in the day when we released an another small rainbow and kept a so-so Walleye because a Walleye that takes the hook at 30ft in 120ft of water doesn't deserve to live. We had a nice day on the water but bummed by my lack of ability to get a Koke. Talked to one boat that had caught 5 earlier but they hunting for number six. Never saw another fish landed near us so I guess we weren't the only ones.
So it goes, we'll be back.

Has anyone ever seen a Golden Eagle down by the south wall? If that was an immature Baldy it was already bigger than any of the other Bald Eagles in the area.

Do not feel bad, we worked the rods to a frazzel, both Monday and Tuesday with nothing to show for it...........we were on the water at 5;45 AM today and fished till 11;00 without so much as a hit...........we launched from the dam are and ran up to the basin, there were about 20 boats in there ,,,,we only saw 2 fish caught, talked to a lot of boaters and none of them had even a bump, so we loaded up and came up to Chelan to try it out in the morning....what a ZOO but I figured it would be...............warm 95 o here at 7;35 pm.........................

Sadly enough I too came away empty handed on Sunday. I worked it from the Basin all the way back to the Dam looking for them. The Copepods (spelling) were so thick they were collecting on the downrigger wire!

Part-Time - rats ! ! Your day is coming, I think you have paid your dues for sure. I have seen the Golden Eagle. Huge by comparison to the balds.

Tight lines - Alan
