Just like two weeks ago, spent the first three hours finding out where they were not; not in the narrows above
Porcupine Bay, not in the bay, not around the #5 or the #7 can, or above there either. After finally finding a
few dinks I found out this was not to be my best day, hooked up with the biggest, baddest walleye I've had
on for a couple of years - got it to the boat, wife duly netted it, the fish hopped off the slow death hook and
quickly slipped through the hole in my trusty old net. Right now I'm trying to think of who might be worthy of
the net as a gift. Talked to others on the water and at the ramp and the verdict was unanimous - a very slow
and unproductive day - my neighbor wants to give the net to his brother in law, so it will probably a couple of
more weeks until it makes through the W-M shredder.
