9/25/2016 3:03:00 PMWe felt the same way, had to get out and see how the lake was doing. Morning fog that burned off to a sunny day made for a beautiful trip. I appreciate you giving the flies a try. You're right, cooler weather will get things going. Hopefully it brings those big bows up! Good luck when you decide to head out. -Dave

When I meet you at Lake Chelan two years ago at the Washington Lakes get together, I got two of your Kekeda flies, one orange and one purple. Those two flies have been my " go to " set up every time the fishing is slow and they always seem to produce. I have found the Kokes just love them. They are both so wore down they hardly look like flies anymore. I bet I have boated over a hundred fish with each fly, trout, kokes, perch and even a couple walleye. Where can I buy more of these gems? Once again it's great reading your report and looking forward to seeing you on the water, if you see the Seahawk boat give us a wave. Bob

If the fishing heats up early we will head that way sooner rather than later. Made it over last March and the fishing was awesome. 9/26/2016 8:07:00 AMSo good to see a report from you Dave, it's been awhile. Surface temps still a bit too warm, need to be under 60° for the bigger ones. That and bright days push 'em a bit lower in the water column. I'll be up Wednesday and hoping to find some carryovers, sounds like I need to leave downriggers on a bit longer. ;-)

9/26/2016 9:17:00 AMHi Dave - Great to see a report from you on Lake Roosevelt. Fall finds me salmon fishing but I will be getting back to the big lake later in October. Can't wait to have the big fish tear up your flies. They always work great for me and friends I have on the boat!

Phil- It was good to get out. After our 3rd baby was born in June my fishing time really took a hit. We were hoping to repeat last year (wishful thinking I know) when we did really well with some big fish at Lincoln the first weekend of October. Still fun to get out there on a beautiful sunny day. Good luck when you head out. I got a good report tonight about up into the arm and a 5 pounder caught on an orange Kekeda while trolling up there. Didn't get an exact location though.
Alan- I'm looking forward to reading about those salmon trips. I saw the recent one, always fun to read. I always appreciate you supporting and using my flies. Good luck and hope you get back to Rosie soon, with a freezer full of salmon!
