10/25/2016 3:30:00 PMI typically go to White Elephant and buy the 15lb rated line and tie on 50 ft of 12lb test. Hope this helps.

10/25/2016 6:22:00 PMGreat to hear that a Kokanee has been caught and that the Rainbows are being reasonably cooperative, Also glad to hear that the Orange Kekeda fly works for you also, that has been my favorite since I started fishing Roosevelt and I just got a new shipment from David. Guess I have no excuse to put off getting down there any longer. I was wondering about trolling speed, I am far more likely to run at 1,7 mph but I use a Les Davis dodger. Do you run a dodger at those speeds?

10/26/2016 7:52:00 AMThere might be a flasher that can work at fast speeds but dodgers don't do well at 3 mph. I find they are more effective at the slower speeds. I generally put on a flasher when the fishing slows down and we are trying to figure out what will cause a strike.

I will try skipping the dodger and picking up the pace a bit and see how I do. I understand the sling blades are supposed to work at faster speeds but I so far much of anything over 2 seems like I am really flying. Hope to be on the water tomorrow and maybe this evening if things go well.

11/1/2016 8:59:00 AMGood morning Honda, sorry for not responding sooner. the Rapalas were blue and silver. As far as depth at 3mph with leaded line, best guess is in the upper 10 feet. Hope this helps and tight lines.
