Finally got back out to catch some of those great Rainbows Roosevelt has to offer. Got my buddy Greg out with me. On the water by 8:00 am out of Hunters. Got our first fish 10 minutes in. The lake was smooth and calm, a little breeze later but sun was out and the fish were biting. We had two poles out each, one on the downriggers and one one leaded line, I would have to say the leaded line was the most productive. On the downriggers we were down 10 to 14 feet with dd dodgers and a red double wammy. On the leaded line we were out two colors with silver wedding bands. Caught our limits and off the water by 12:30. The biggest fish was 20" with several close. I had one hit my leaded line that definitely was the strongest hit I've had all year only to break me off at the leader to leaded line knot. Oh yeah I just mentally told myself I need to retie my knot but didn't, good by fish,lure and double D. Great day hope to do it again Friday. Get out there and get some guys.

Thanks for the report fishtrembles, Man do I hate to loose the lure that is working great! Thanks for the reminder to re-tie some of my gear. Have fun Friday and we'll be out Saturday to see what kind of damage we can do. - Alan

Hey good luck guys, and if you hear of anybody catching a lake record with a dd flasher attached asked them to send pictures please. Check your knots and good fishing.
