Lake Roosevelt Keller Ferry. sorry for late report. December 17 was a good day to be out on the water. i did not see anybody else out. wonder why haha. we had the lake to our selves. temps were in upper teens but hardly any wind. thank the Lord for buddy heaters. we started late, waited for fog to clear up. fished camels head/ bay area from 12 to 5pm. landed 2 beautiful kokanee in the boat. lost a few as well. we had a total of 11 fish. 9 trout and 2 kokanee. had 4 rods out, 2 on DR at 8 and 11 feet. other rod had a fly and rapala. 2 mph seemed to work best for us. water temp was 39 . i was going to rate this a 4 but the park rangers asked me to remove my wall tent from the campground. anyways see you guys soon. Kokanee fishing should be good this year again.
Lets make fishing great again! - konstantin
Merry Christmas and wish you guys a happy new year.

Nice report, I am looking forward to hitting the water. I understand those park rangers (power trippers) not allowing a tent this time of year. Who knows one may lead to two to three!! God forbid

Thanks for the good report and pictures. Glad to hear someone catching Kokanee. Saw that tent when I was camped down there this fall. Wondered if it was a hunting camp or a fishing camp. Maybe both?

Loved the report cuz some of us wouldn't hold up well under those conditions - guess the Ranger's philosophy is that if you throw
one tent out, they have to throw out all tents - I doubt though that we'd see some of the "campers" in the winter that we see in the
summer - saw some this year at Porcupine that some how got transportation to move from under the I-90 bridge to the lake for the summer,
don't know what they were eating, but they were smok'in some real smelly stuff. See you out there when it gets above 30deg,

@ Part-Time: no i do not hunt, just fish.
@Honda : on my two D.R. setups , i had an orange snubber to a double d dodger silver with a 18 inch leader to an orange hoochie with a silver smiley blade. setup two was a watermelon dodger with a 18 inch leader to a pink fly that also had a silver smiley blade. my bait i used was all shoe peg corn , had the corn soaked overnight in graybills kokanee formula with pink dye added to it. my other rod that i was using to flat line had a 1/4 ounce sliding weight with 30 " inch leader approximately to a orange fly with a piece of small worm tipped. (i caught most my trout on this setup)
