Planned an all day trip for Saturday down past the Sanpoil River on Lake Roosevelt with my girlfriend and her dad. I had never been that far south on Lake Roosevelt before so I was real excited to get out there and catch some rainbows.
We left Colville around 4:30AM and got to the "secret" fishing hole at about 7:30AM. In the first 15 minutes we had already caught 3. The bite was pretty consistent but seemed to slow down a bit when the rain would stop. They were hitting on power-bait of all different colors and flavors. Garlic seemed to work the best but they hit corn and salmon egg as well. By 1:30 we had 13 between the 3 of us. If we had hooked up on every single one that bit then we would've probably had over 20.
Going to have a smoker full of trout to do up this weekend!
