After getting out of class around 11am yesterday the weather in Pullman seemed nice and was around 59 degrees. With a good feeling I decided to head down to the Snake River for some last chance sturgeon fishing before I leave for Oklahoma next week. As soon as I got down to the dam the weather started acting up. Usually rain doesn't bother me, but the wind does and it picked up quite a bit. Anyways I made a total of 5 casts. Waiting about 30-40 minutes between each cast. Even the patience didn't pay off. Had no bite. I was using trout and pickled squid. As the wind picked up even more and started knocking my rod all over the place I called it quits. I won't give up however, probably going back on Thursday. I want to get a keeper and bring some sturgeon meat to my folks in Oklahoma. Good luck to everyone!
