I am late I know. Well I was all excited after the sucsess we had during the week so headed out Sat morn around 3:00 am got down there and that perfect current below the portapoti wich neither were there. Potapoti or the current. I knew it wouldn't be any good so we went to the other end and nothing then we went to the other side and could not find a place left to fish from. All the people! went back to the other side and all the good spots were taking so went back and tried it around the first spot. then the people left at the far end and stayed there till sunday afternoon no bite.

We did see a guy below the dam on the south side with binos fight a fish for about an hour. we could see the fish jump and spashing around from here on the north side looked like a really big fish.

Too many people over there for me! Looked like every pole holder was taken and then people were pounding there own in. Getting to be to many people there period. Just three years ago 20 people fish for sturgeon was alot now its more like a hundred or better.

I agree definetely alot of people there i think im going down next monday through thursday try and get some pike minnow to boot. We got one good hit all weekend from friday to sunday about 4pm used trout,salmon,squid and pike minnow. fished on the portapoti side from one end to the other...hopefully better next time...

You should have been there today if you don'd like crowds. I only saw one fisherman on the north side and he was'n fishing for sturgeon. What a great day to fish. The fish didn't know it though

I am going to take the boat down this weekend. I invested in the correct anchor system finally. A buddy who knows how to do it from a boat is going with. I have tried it from a boat before with no sucsess and nearly drowning myself with a short anchor rope and trying to get it back up, had to finally cut it.

Yankin Jaw were you in the truck and camper? How about that kid in the alum boat rowing out there he was nuts.

Cant beleive that kid was out there in that fast water he was nuts and in a small boat, scary situation. You need to get a anchor ball and release sysytem for the boat..

Thats what I got! I did talk to a guy in a older white and red boat at boyer sat eve and he claims they did decent and had a fish bigger then any he ever had on. But I noticed the fish seem to be alot stronger and faster then they do in mid to late may. The keeper my friend caught last week its stomach was packed with over 30 3'' to 6'' fish, some crawdad and little clam shells and one strange looking asrimp thing more like a large pron. Someones bait?
