Well, here you go bros. The follow up to my weekend report on some big B run steelhead that are starting to show. After witnessing what the tribes have done to Drano with thier netting platforms, I'm hella happy to fish for my favorite salmonids a little closer to home! The guys who fish the Snake seem to be from a different mold too. Nearly everyone that I have met down there have been cordial and friendly, like a fellah who recently made room and invited us down to fish next to him when the all the other bank access spots were full. My buddy Chris is a steelhead and salmon "Guru" and I am honored as well as privilaged to fish with a young man of his fine caliber. Oddly enough those bigger fish continue to elude me, with most of my card containing keeper steelhead under ten pounds from the Snake. What I have noticed is that float fishing for steelies is it's a finely detailed game. Often times Chris will be the only guy on the bank to get multiple take downs... It's because of his fine attention to every aspect of the pursuit of steelhead. October 3rd was no exception. Included in this report is a picture of Chris's 22 pound monster. (My fish photos are on another camera phone...) Though Chris did record a You tube quality, 2 minute video recording of the last keeper I caught this weekend. Tight lines. Jiggy.
