Left WSU at about 530 am and went to the heller bar area of the Snake River with a couple friends. We tried a spot a little above some big rapids and did pretty good. We threw spoons and spinners and ended up catching 3 steelhead and two kings! This was my first steelhead from the shore and it went crazy right after it was hooked it went airborn at least 5 times and of course my phone died and my friends left their phones in my truck so no pics unfortunately. My friends really have not fished much for steelhead so having them hook up to one steelhead each on their first time bank fishing for them was awesome!! Also the Kings we caught were nice and bright which was surprising to me because they are quite a ways up river. We released all the fish unharmed and made the hooks barbless on the spoons and spinners. We are going to go again this sunday.
