So Catfishing is picking up. The main area of focus is where the Palouse and Snake River meet a 1/4 mile from the marina. Fishing off the bottom anywhere from 5 - 15 feet with cut bait (Chicken Liver, Hot Dogs or worms work too!) has been producing some nice fish. Average size is 3 - 5 lbs with the largest coming into the marina so far atn 11 pounds. The best fishing is yet to come, give it a week oor 3 and fishing can be incredible with 30 - 50 fish a day not uncommon. There is no limit on Cats but we hope the big ones will be put back as breeding stock so we can continue to have a great fishery! NOTE - If you head up the Palouse to fish be careful, certain areas are shallow and I'm not kidding!
