Caught this one Friday afternoon in the Elger Bay area. Covered a lot of miles looking for this bad boy!

Green 3.9" Old Goat OG-1 with Red Racer flasher, 42 inch leader. Fishing solo and absolutely had my hands full!

The battle was memorable for sure. Prob #3 on the all time list. Finally hooked up off Camano Island St Park. Had my drag too loose and dang near got spooled. Reel was screaming, fish hooked up and took off. Got the drag tightened, thought I lost him once and dang near burst into tears, nope still on. Not sure how long the fight was but I was getting a little gassed. Got up to the boat, saw no fin and he took off again. Finally up to the boat, missed with the net twice, third time a charm. All the while I'm wondering if my knots are good, is the crimp good, is the hook up solid etc etc. To make it even better the tide was a little strong for the little motor so I'm running the big motor. Controls and steering in front, fish on in the back. total three ring circle. Intense is an understatement.

Its always an adventure.

Randy: Absolutely appreciate the time you've spent testing the OG1 in the Puget Sound! (That is one nice fish!!)

Donn, thanks for the great product that obviously works. Blackmouth season all done the end of this week. Looking forward to using the OG-1's for springers, summer run Chinook and Tulalip Bubble Chinook (and possibly pinks and coho if we get a season). Think the Old Goats will knock it out of the park! Tight lines. Randy
