Headed to Storm Lake on opening day. Started fishing at 6:30 am and finished at noon. God blessed with 72 fish using the spoons set on fast action. The most effective patterns for the day were the Pink top, Orange top and Perch. All fish appeared to be stockers with no holdovers caught. All fish released to fight another day. No additional weight was used as the fish appeared to be in the top 5' of the water column. Wishing all tight lines!

Great report! Are you simply trolling this spoon behind you or do you have a dodger in front of it? Casting/retrieve? I think I've read a previous report of yours from last year where you had a dodger and a 4' leader off of that with a Gods Tooth spoon. Thanks for the great reports!

Hi Pilchuckpete,
I mainly trolled but did spend some time drifting with cast and retrieve. I do not use a dodger when fishing for trout but do use one when fishing for Kokanee with the God's tooth trolling rigs. My set up is snap swivel, 4 ft of fluorocarbon leader, 5/8" duo lock snap, spoon.
Happy to hear you liked the report and hope it helps.
