Had another good morning on Stevens! Started fishing around daylight and as soon as we put the rods in the water no more then 5 minutes in we had 3 fish in the boat already! We were fishing in the middle of the lake but then we made a mistake by going away from the pod of Kokanee that we were in. Important to note, stay on the pod of Kokanee you find, because more likely there brothers are going to bite to. Stopped fishing around 11:00am and we had 13 Kokanee in the cooler definitely enough for dinner and we were happy with our catch. We were using Reli Lures Kokanee wedding rings, Kokanee Beaded Spinners and the God's Tooth Kokanee rigs behind Arrow flash and Double D dodgers. We were also using white shoe peg corn mixed with tuna juice and then dipped in Herring and Krill Super Dipping Sauce. Fishing is just going to get better to! We need that water to warm up just a little more and we need those fish to start schooling up. Once that happens, it's lights out fishing!

I've made that mistake as well, leaving fish to find other fish. Nice report again guys. Fish still sitting right on top it seems? I agree, soon as they drop to that 15-25 foot range they really start to clump up together.

Thanks! Yeah the fish were mostly in the top 10 feet still. Until that water temp hits about 55-56 degrees, you'll start catching them around 20 feet which is about the deepest you'll go to catch them through the whole month of May.

It's a new Color that Macks Lure put out, its their UV purple haze and worked quite well.
