I went to Lake Cassidy close to home 8:30am to noon. Targeting the spawning largemouth bass. Used Buzzbait blue/white, Rapala in blue/white and Perch size 7 and size 5, and swim jig red/white. It was pretty calm when I got there and Sunny. Went to left from launch to north end of the lake started in pads by boat launch didn't get one there this time and bluegills weren't even chasing my minnows this time. Got first bites past first dock in cove there had 2 hits looked like crappie rolled with it but missed the lure...trolled the minnow to blue house and channel...saw fish roll and cut motor and drifted in...wind had picked up some...got a couple blue gills to hit but still nothing in the boat. Tried closer to shore and don't move that minnow...nah don't do it...slower is better there...had one big roll behind it but just looking...then cast to my right and couldn't believe my eyes see this big big huge bass rise up and swim right by my bait into the weeds...at first I thought it was a catfish but saw the side of him clearly a largemouth moving slowly and biggest one I ever spotted at Cassidy...my guess 6lbs +. So threw everything but kitchen sink around the spot nothing...went further down and found isolated cove behind tree branches first cast bam fish on! He destroyed the top water minnow and got to see the wake coming...I like it when they do that. 11" bass take photo release. Got another one further down same size 11". Had to take a bathroom break on far end docks by shore...made some casts around there one bite but not a lot of action...decided to head to east side and past the boat on shore...I never catch anything around that boat. Sure enough about third cast past it fish on! Another good fighter 10.5" bass. Had more wakes and hits in shallows...then another cast twitch minnow once twice three times...and here he comes big wake from out of the lily pads and bam fish on! Good fight and 11". Had one more on the line long distance cast hit right away but tried to horse him over the pads...wasn't having it jumped and shook his head fish off! Quit at noon had other things to do...Got four lost one...3 11" and 1 10.5" and saw the fish of a lifetime today.

Not a bad 3 1/2 hours on the water.
