We had a Northwest Fly Anglers outing at the lake. I was on the water at 7:00am and a couple folks beat me to the water. Great day in all, the water is still a little cool for anyone looking for Bass for Trout it was pretty good. Just from talking to folks as I rowed along, I'm pretty sure everyone caught fish. There were a few boats of gear fishermen and they looked as if they had nice dinner on the way. I didn't see any big fish boated. the largest one I caught was about 13", made it all the way across the net. The weather alternated brilliant sun and blue skies with a few thunderheads moving through. mainly sunny and few light showers of about 10 to 15 min each. Did I mention the sun!!!! As for gear, I saw pop gear and drifting with worms. Fly's of the day were Buggers in various colors but the one stand out was a little white grub. A lot of short strikes were reported, I'm thinking the buggers being used were a little on the big side. maybe get down to size 14......
