Another good day on the Arm. I launched out of 7 Bays and headed upriver; had to dodge (mostly) a ton of debris that included trees. The water is up about 3 ft and some of the stuff that has been onshore drying out is now starting to float down river towards the mouth. We caught a double limit of eyes casting jigs into back eddies; the current side was definitely more productive. A lot of the eyes we cleaned, and some smallmouth, had small crawdads in their bellies so any plastic that looks like and is the same color as a crawdad should work well. We had our best luck casting a 1/2 oz jig with grubs on them. I caught quite a few without having to tip my jig with any night crawler. With the water rising a lot of the areas we have been fishing are changing and may not be productive for much longer. Also with the water rising, the river may be more dangerous as the rocks and shallow areas are now covered and may not be visible until its too late so be careful if you don't know the river well.
