While we were looking for Kokes and failed I still give the fishery a 5 for the rainbow action.
After a long winter of helping my wife heal from a broken knee as a result of snow and Ice I was able to get her ang my daughter on the water and new boat.
We had rods in about noon after a lazing morning in Coulee City. Launched at Spring Canyon and fished the general area. Water is still murky but improving.
Started with 4 rods, with different set ups, flat lining and side planning.
The ticket ended up being orange, kokabows and trolling flies.
Lost about as many as we kept. Released 4 or 5 either wild or small..
Came off the lake 4 hrs later with 8 keepers.
Daughter got the biggest and reeled in the most. I netted a 22" bow for her that ended up being more than enough of a meal for the 3 of us. Could have feed 4.
Weather started out with passing showers and clouds but ended picture perfect!
Speeds right around 1.7-2.5
Ended a fantastic day by taking the dogs to a unimproved quiet launch on the southwest end of Banks. Juno the Lab had her 1st encounter with water and seems to love it.
Hitting Banks out of Coulee city in the Am for Walleye then targeting Kokes before calling it a weekend.
Get out on Roosevelt, Get the kids on to these fish. It was a lot of fun!
Hope to help you all have a successful fishing adventure.
