Hit the Cascade this morning, was in the river by 8:30am. Didn't feel like being up early for basically a scouting trip. Saw one jack on a rope as got to the spot I wanted to fish so I was a lil bit more hopeful that I might hook up. Didn't even see a live fish til about noon when somebody upstream of me hooked what looked to be a small dolly. At which point I put away the spoons and spinners, figured kings weren't part of the plan. I tied up a number 6 hook and pegged a head just above it to try for a dolly or whitefish. About 15 minutes of casting later I had a 22 1/2" jack on the beach. Missed a hit shortly after and about 1 I got a second jack that was 21". Both were fat and bright. Didn't see a lot of action today outside my 2 and the one that was roped when I got there. It wasnt a bad day on the river but a bit of a grind to get a couple fish lol.
