Went to Lake Cassidy at 9:30am and fished until 12:40pm. Looked at weather report night before said wind would be light. Was calm when I got there but as usual it picked up. Started out and went right from boat launch...saw some fish swirling by first dock and end of lily pads...got one there 8" but he jumped about 2 ft in the air. Guess he thought he had air jordan's on. Got him on top water perch minnow #5. Tried buzzbait, swim jig, and rat L trap crawdad. Had about 15 hits swirls, pops, and bites but only two fish to start. Went around corner to get of of the wind and try the channel leaving the lake usually get some bites there nothing. Tried out deeper and casting rat L trap nothing...Got blown along and saw dock...perch minnow perfect cast just under the side of the dock in the shade...one twitch and bam big fish on! Good fight, couple side jumps that I held my own on and land him...tape measure 13.5" by 3.5" wide. Good fight take some photos and let him go. Got tired of breeze and had stuff to do so left.
3 landed 13.5", 10" and 8" jumper.
Had about 20-25 bites, pops, swirls, taps, and looks. Lots of action.
Not a bad 3 hours.
