Finally have my boat in the water. Bought a fixer upper last year and it has hit water for the last two weekends. Avid fisherman, but always from the bank. Grabbed my Son and headed to the swift on the above date. Hit the water at 8 am, pulled back to the dock at 9 am with a limit of rainbows each. Took more time getting everything set up than it did to fish. In fact, I reeled in my rod to just let my son fish em after the first 5. Could not have both set ups in the water fishing at the same time, one always had a fish on. Used smallest Dipsey Diver, wobbler, and a hoochie. Of course the swift has left over fish from last years low water levels and this years recent stock, May 30th I believe it said... but the action is unreal.
When you reel one rig in and have the hoochie skipping along side the motor while your trolling and fish comes up and hooks up on it, you know its time to get lines in the water.
