I meant to report this the day I went fishing, but life happened, and I completely spaced off giving my report. On June 7, I decided to try my luck at Knuppenburg Lake (Lewis County). They had stocked it with Brown Trout about a month ago, so that was what I anticipated catching. I'll admit, I was "lazy fishing" this time around, so I got out to one of the only accessible spots on the lake (the small gravel beach where the creek feeds the lake). There are quite a few logs that are in the water, so I fished these areas. The weather was in the sixties, with mixed clouds and sun.
I used two power eggs, tipped with half a night crawler, and easily caught my limit of Brook Trout. Not one Brown was retained. They were fairly small (ten inches or so), but it was a beautiful day and quite relaxing as well.
