Finally got back out this morning to do some fishing. Hit Lake Wa at 6 AM out of Coulon. Put on a bright pink blade and pink hoochie with no scent about 150' behind the boat at 35' and 2 mph. Started putting out the line as soon as I was showing 50' for depth. Ran straight up the log boom a couple hundred feet off shore at 70'-90'. Got a solid hit and had an 18" Cutt in the boat by 6:30 after a nice fight.
Saw the pole tip do a couple weird small wiggles when I was nearly to Mercer Island and decided to pull it in. There was a really pretty 6" rainbow on the end of the line! I told it to "go grow up and try again later" and tossed it back in. Turned around and back tracked and got another bite. Pulled in a 14" rainbow. I was pretty surprised the little fish took me so seriously! ; )
Made a couple more passes in the same area but only picked up a bunch of cabbage. Decided to run it once more and pulled in a 14" Cutt.
Ran out of time so headed in about 11:00 AM.
Wind was blowing so there were lots of waves and a bit chilly for my T shirt, shorts and sandels. Nice to get out though. Only a few other boats fishing and a couple tearing around.
If you go out take some ice for the fish. The water is WARM.

yea when my neighbor and I went out on Wednesday the surface temp was like 64 had to go down 40 to hit 54. and at 45 it was 52.9 I think that is what you want for the Kokanees I broke down last year and bought a fishhawk thermometer so I would quit guessing
