Started fishing some prior good spots for SMB. Very windy and nothing but perch bites. Lots of fish spotted on the sonar in 15 to 20 feet of water, but the underwater camera showed nothing but perch cruising by. Moved a bit and more of the same. Decided to head North to look for cutts. Saw lots of fish in about 65 fow. Dropped the DR and leadline with spoons. Picked up small cutts - on both rigs at about 40 feet. We saw so many fish on the sonar, that we decided to hold in place and vertical jig. Immediately started picking up peamouth, so we moved on. First pic is the peamouth, but I assume the other was mostly trout.
Just for laughs, decided to troll like we do for walleye with spinner rigs and bottom bouncers at 20 feet deep. Got a great hit and the nicest cutthroat ever - about 20 inches. My wife got a very nice SMB doing the same. Ya never know.
