I decided against my better judgement to return to this lake when I found Williams Lake closed for the day. I had both of my sons with me and since Badger was the closest lake to Williams, we decided to do a little night fishing at the public launch area. The name of the game was "catching fish". My kids did not care that all we caught were 10"-12" catfish. We caught about 2 or 3 each in about 2 hours and called it a night. Just to the right of the launch area is a rocky beach area. 30-50 feet out from there, on the bottom, we caught the catfish using worms. Arrived at 9:30, left around 11:30. There was 1 boat just launching when we set up and they left at the same time. They fished in one spot directly out from the launch a little further then 1/2 way across the lake and said they caught some good sized trout. I'll have to try that next time.
