Up early for an old Geezer of 88. Out of bed at 04:00 and fishing by 05:15. Windy and very Misty as I launched my small boat. My Co-Author, Dave Shorett showed up about an hour and a half later with his Pontoon Boat. We both caught a few small largemouth bass and a few Bluegill. All of my fish were hooked on a size 11 floating Rapala. Dave is a fly fisherman and his fish were hooked on flys - have no idea what their names were. We were the only boats on the lake but as we were quitting some ladies showed with canoes - didn't see any fishing gear.

I don't really like the idea of giving the trip only a 2 rating. Just because catching was tough doesn't mean it wasn't a good trip.

Oh Yes, Dave took "big fish" honors with a largemouth basss just over 12 inches.

Looks like the old Geezer needs to brush up on installing photos. How about deleting the extras Mike?

Yes AMX, you are probably right. I don't fish very much anymore but I still enjoy it. I am kinda restricted on lakes. I have a comfortable driving range that excludes a lot of my favorites. I have been fortunate, however, to have fished so many of them for bass. I have a list of about 335 different lakes, reservoirs and sloughs. I didn't catch bass from the all but I did on most of them.
I don't mean to complain about old age - actually it is a blessing - You even get to see your great grand kids grow up.
Was thinking about the rating system for our fishing trips. Maybe it should have 2 numbers. Maybe a 2 for catching and maybe a 4 or 5 for fishing.
