8/2/2017 9:34:43 AMYou can also fish for greenling, cabezon, and other food fish from a boat but if you hook a salmon you would be required to release it. My question is can a guy boat into a shoreline, get out and fish from the beach, and legally possess a pink or hatchery coho in the boat to transport back to the boat launch.

8/3/2017 8:22:21 AMfishindude - This was asked on facebook and wdfw said you can use your boat to travel to a beach, fish, then return home. You cannot fish on your way back to the launch (crab, fish for flounder or cutthroat) as you would be in possession of an illegal catch if you do.
