We hit the water pre-sunrise and were fishing off the oil docks as the sun came up. We hooked a nice 5-7 lb. Chinook right off the bat, but it was a native, so we put him back. Hooked several very small coho that were just shakers so nothing in the cooler. I heard it was tough for everybody and only 1 limit (3 silvers between 2 in the boat). Report was Jeff head was also slow. Hoping for better luck this Thursday/Friday.

Sunrise has been incredible, so not a total loss!

I have not looked at creel counts, but my observation has been the fishing is slow. I have seen a few chinook in the net out there , but not many. Same report from the fish checkers at shillshole. My largest fish ended up as sea lion bait. Another nice one broke off my line. figure I will put on new line prior to my next trip. Only a few more days for chinook, gotta bet back out there.

Almost all of the ones we've caught have been smaller hatchery fish. All kings released and only a couple of silvers worth keeping - most shakers. We did have one lunker nail the line so hard it tipped the boat and yanked the downrigger out of the stanchion. I fought it about 30 seconds with it peeling line before it popped off the barbless. :(

Definitely slow. We had good luck off the oil dock area 2 weeks in a row and then wiffed it on Monday. Half dozen shakers and couple small coho (c&r). One last shot this Friday. Maybe give Jeff Head a try.

No spots on the tail, black mouth. Looked like a small king to me. We DID catch a pink about 2 weeks ago, though.

Oh yeah - it also had a clipped adipose fin, which is why we released it. I don't recall ever seeing any pinks with a clipped fin.
