Decided to go try big lake. I normally don't fish it cause well..big lake and a little boat kinda sucks. Plus all the pleasure boaters. But I wanted to try a dock bite. Got on the lake about 6:45am and went left (if you're looking at the lake from the launch). Got a couple nibbles here and there but no good solid bite till about 8:30 or so and it was maybe a pound. Tried all kinds of different things..from a jig and Texas rig to moving baits. The perch have been pretty active lately I've noticed. I continued fishing the docks switching from flipping to moving baits. Got 2 more pounders but nothing to exciting. Got to the end of the lake and headed to the other side where things finally picked up. I committed to just switching from a chatterbait and a craw style for this whole side. I caught probably 10 or so working the whole length of the lake with 3 of the biggest being between 2 and 2.5lbs. 2 of them coming on the chatterbait.. it's a fun bite. The wind starting to pick up and the pleasure boaters were in full force so I packed up and left. Nothing huge but still a pretty fun day
