Hate bust your bubbles but if them are kokanee I'll eat my shorts. It's age old story people thinking land lock silvers are kokanee. They don't taste nothing like a kokanee or for that matter look like either.

P.s there are zero Kokanee in riffe.

Thanks for setting me straight Acefishon. Was told years ago that these were kokanee in Riffe. Now I know. So I take it that kokanee taste better? Where is a good kokanee lake?

yknjack.. I have eaten and fed my family several king/silvers out of Riffe and they taste great!! Meat was dense and color was great. As for Kokanee in Riffe comments, don't worry about it. There are plenty of people who assume a kokanee is any land locked salmon, I was of the same understanding for years. Keep fishing were you enjoy to fish and assure you that you won't be disappointed in how those fish eat. Nice day out there this time of year.
