Nothing today. Didn't see any jumping or swimming at Langus. Some guys down from us said they hooked up but lost one at the shore. The same guys hooked up onto something big on the fishing pier next to me (a GIANT pink if it was a pink, was probably a coho or king) and it was tearing off line, but it spit the hook before they could get it close.
I was using 1/2 oz white Jig Heads with pink squid skirts and shrimp scent. Reading other reports, I am probably going to step up to a heavier jig. At high tide a 1/4 or 1/2 oz jig head is enough for the slack water, but the current gets a-moving pretty quick and I can't get my 1/2 oz down deep when it is moving.
The people who were catching fish were using 3(?) in pink buzz bombs and pink jigs w/ pink skirts. The pink jigs seem to be the ticket, that is all I have managed to hook up with so far.
