9/6/2017 10:06:00 AMI have caught my largest perch and crappie using a very big spoon bouncing it on the bottom at 60' while drifting! Made me say WTH!?!? When I got them in the boat but that is the exception for sure.
I use cut up power bait worms (senco) for pan fish and finding the color they like seems to be the key. White/transparent with fleck seems to be the most productive out of the get go. There are days they -do-not-bite-anything-. Kind of frustrating when I can see them 'real time' and it 'just ain't happnin'.
I can tell you exactly where to go, or at least where I go. There are so many fish in the 'Big Lake' I am not shy about sharing... Most of my reports pretty much include the basic area. Within that it is finding the school or attracting them to the boat. There are a LOT of great panfish areas all over it. Always fun to get the kids on fish if they are into it. I have some 'kids' poles that I take that I would not have any heartburn if they drop it in the lake or break something. I have used them for a full day of fishing to make sure they 'work'. Good luck!
