Myself, Aaron, and Noah are up on Vancouver Island fishing out of Tofino with TolfinoFishing.com. We're filming for a future TV episode. Guides Rob and Gibson took us over to Hya Point to target some late season kings.

The run to the fishing area was lumpy but not bad. The scenery along the island is as always spectacular. We fished two rods off downrigger in 50 to 100 feet of water using flashers, anchovies, and a squid imitation they call a "turd" which actually works great!

The action for Chinook wasn't red hot but we did manage to get one Chinook for each angler. We also caught and released 6 un-clipped coho and lost aga in as much so we never had long to wait between bites.

Rob says the Chinook action is about done for this yeasr and he'll be focusing on inshore coho next. We can't wait! But first, a little ling cod trip is on the agenda...
