First time this year targeting the silvers on the Snohomish. I trolled between the boat launch down to a little past the hwy 9 bridge. My set up today was a 4.5" slingblade dodger, 16" leader to a God's Tooth® , bead, and a single size 6 siwash hook which is the next size bigger than the standard size 8 hooks. Basically, very similar to the kokanee trolling rigs. I used a 4oz pinch weight to get the gear down about 7' -8' and a 20' set back. As I am trolling, the rod stars going off and I spend a few minutes fighting what I hoped was a silver, but instead, God blessed with a bright humpy buck. Talked to a few other boaters and no fish caught by them. Did not see any silvers jumping but did see a couple of humpies jump. Overall, very little fish activity today including sea run cutts.
Also wanted to mention there is a coho derby on October 7th which applies to the Snohomish, Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers. I have provided the details on our Elginfishing facebook timeline page if you are interested. No video today as not much action. Wishing all tight lines!
