Started with a run to the south end and fished a couple docks just before the pads start on the west side. Immediately caught one on the Rage Craw flipping a boat lift. Around the corner from there I missed one on a swimming style frog in the pads. Then one about 2+lbs jumped clean over my frog on the edge of the pads! I immediately got a Senko in there but he wouldn't come back. I was thinking it was game on at that point but I didn't get another strike until I hopped over by the creek and fished the pads at the mouth. Flipping the Rage Tail was the deal here and it worked exactly twice lol. Both fish were shy of 2 lbs I would say, maybe one was 2?
After boating those two I headed back north, stopping at a couple spots I like here and there. One spot is a brush pile on the east shore and this produced another fish. This guy I missed once and he tapped it another time and then on the fifth cast I nailed him. The last fish of the night came from the rocks right out in front of the weird round apartment complex. It hit a swimming frog and missed so I burned it in and sent in Mr. Senko for clean up detail...twitch, tap, bam, another little guy on his way to the boat.
That was it for this trip, they are coming though! It's only going to get better!
