Me and my buddy went out on Lewis lake on Friday. We got out on the water at about 6:00 am and fished all the way until noon. During those 6 hours we were only able to land one 12 inch bass and a whole bunch of baby bass.
We started out using topwater and moved to Senko's as the day went on. We had no action on the topwater but Senko bite seemed to be on. We were just having a hard actually setting the hook on these fish. Both me and my friend are pretty new to soft plastic fishing so this could have been why.
As the day got hotter, the fish stopped biting as much. I really think you need to get out on this lake early or later. Also, the weed growth is pretty bad on this lake so you need to fish something that isn't going to get hung up every cast.
