I started fishing just north of the Kirkland marina around 6:30am. With the gear set up and starting my troll south, I wasn't seeing a lot on the fishfinder. Then I noticed a blinking light connected to a bouy and when I got closer I saw the net. Went around that one but by then it was getting lighter and I could see several more sets south of me. So I mostly stayed on the outsides of the sets till I got past them, which was about Yarrow Piont. I turned and headed toward Hunts Point figuring I might at least be able to intercept some of the Coho before they hit the nets. There was starting to show more signs of life on the fishfinder. I switched out a few lures before trying a Wicked Lure in Black with Purple blade behind a Sling Dodger. As I was getting back to Yarrow Point and just before the nets, I had a release. Turned out to be a bright hen Coho about 6lbs. As the morning went on, the nets were slowly being pulled out. So after they left, I tried trolling a line in front of Moss Bay in 120ft. Ended up with a decent Cutthroat. Stayed till about 1pm before heading home with the wind starting to pick up.
